Around my neck of the woods, summer is coming to an end and fall is knocking on our door. It is time to start thinking about pulling out our warm cozy sweaters and of course our soft cuddly quilts. I am hoping to get in one last camping trip before the season ends, but harvest is just around the corner and its hard to get away then.
I have decided to do a little giveaway, my first actually!! I have picked up a few little things here and there while on my camping trips. There are no special rules to enter, just leave me a comment, let me know how you enjoyed your summer. I will be drawing a winner on September first!
Giveaway.....8 f1/8's, embroidery scissors, tape measure, note book, post its, and marking pen! |
Here is a sneak peak at a quilt I have started. I am using the new Buggy Barn Christmas line. Lots of plaids and simple prints. I figure if I am going to have a quilt done in time for Christmas I better start now.....can't believe I am even thinking Christmas yet!!
I would like to wish my Beautiful mom a Happy Birthday. Today is her birthday and we are going in to help her celebrate :)
Good luck with the giveaway,

ReplyDeleteCrazy summer - - July was too hot, first half of August was too wet! Finally, some nice weather which means I haven't wanted to venture to the basement to sew!
ReplyDeleteAs your summer is finishing ours is just around the corner. Thanks for the chance at the giveaway I would love to be considered.

ReplyDeleteI hop your Mom had a wonderful birthday. We had a good but busy summer. One little get away which was very refreshing and relaxing. Thanks for a great giveaway :-)
ReplyDeleteLovely package of goodies! Our summer has been so hot that we spent lots of time indoors doing crafty type projects, lots of painting. Although, I spent time out watering plants/shrubs. So, we are very happy to say goodbye to summer and say hello to cooler nights/mornings and less humidity, when it arrives b/c we're still a bit on the hot side. My son will be playing soccer this fall - so WooHoo to fall.
ReplyDeleteI have been paddling as much as I can, haven't been able to go camping, first we had mice, then birds get into our tent trailer. So, this year I have to do anther reclean and then replace cushions and things before I will use it. At least it will be new again, by next year. We have no power today, so hoping it comes on, can only run so many things on a generator, but at least it is sunny and we can enjoy being outside.
ReplyDeleteLove the buggy barn fabrics, they have wonderful patterns too.
Debbie
Happy Birthday to your Mom! I enjoy celebrating with my mother too. Summer isn't over (our temps are still close to 100) and school has already started. So, we are enjoying "after school baby sitting" my oldest grandniece who just began first grade.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your first giveaway - it's a superduper prize. It would be fun to win. Best wishes! alternate email mlwright29(at)hotmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your mom! I really like the Buggy Barn Christmas line of fabric. I'm ready for fall and cooler weather(and hopefully, some rain!) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteVery nice giveaway! Found you via Stray Stitches blog. Thanks for the chance to enter. I don't really relish hot weather at all, and we've had it in VA this summer. Right now my husband is battling all the power outages from the hurricane and is away from home for at least a week until power is back on. I'm definitely looking forward to cooler weather this fall.
ReplyDeleteGreat giveaway. And happy birthday to your mom. My summer has been good. Enjoyed a nice visit from my daughter that lives far away. But it has been a very HOT summer, and I don't "do" HOT very well. I've been really enjoying my A/C! :) And my gardens have suffered, because of my lack of attention.
ReplyDeleteHoping your Mom has a fantastic birthday:) My sumer has been relatively uneventful; we haven't gone anywhere or done anything out of the ordinary. Next spring, i hope to plant some veggies in containers and really regret not doing so this year. Thanks for hosting a great giveaway- love the browns you chose:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea for a Christmas quilt...plaids and Christmas fabric. I love how it looks so far. What a fun giveaway. I have enjoyed my visit to your blog and will be back for sure.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Mom! I love your Buggy Barn Christmas quilt. And what a giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThanks and congrats to the winner.
Well, Happy Birthday last Friday. It was our grandaughter's birthday too and our anniversary was Sunday. This summer I think I will remember as the year sewing costumes and playing with grandkids. If they weren't here I was there or we were together camping or at a resort. It was exhausting but so much fun. I was able to have some serious one on one time with every single one of the 19. It was wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBesides an earthquake and a hurricane my summer has been pretty uneventful. Fan4may at aol dot com

ReplyDeleteI've had a lovely peaceful summer, and I hope you have too. I've gotten quite a bit of quilting done, but there is always more that I want to do. I've never made a Christmas quilt, but I'm tempted now that I see your quilt in progress.
ReplyDeleteThe giveaway prizes will make any quilter or sewer very happy indeed; you've chosen items that I'd enjoy having. Thanks!
