This may possibly be my new favorite quilt!! I love how all the scraps blend together....it looks like something you might find at Grandmas house. Once it is quilted and washed and gets that worn and loved look it will be even better!!
Still trying to decide on a border. I have pictured two options, but really not sure I like either of them yet.....hmmmm!
This quilt has 174 - 5" finished blocks in it and over 2900 pieces. I know this because my kids were curious!
Now back to the pieced borders on my RRCB!

Oooo! Awesome! I was just on another blog and she had made the same quilt! I actually like the first border better in the pics, but in person is always a different story. I think you need to put in a 1/4" red inner border first. Can't wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteIsn't this the Jo Morton quilt? It came out gorgeous. Scrappy quilts are always hard to choose borders for! If you choose a brown, then it becomes a brown quilt, etc, etc. I stole that one from Carrie Nelson. From your picture, I like the second border, but I don't like pink as much as I do red.
ReplyDeleteWow your courthouse steps quilt is beautiful. I agree, border number two goes better.
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite quilt patterns! You did a great job making it look old and antique.
ReplyDeleteoh my just love your quilt, yes I need to make one of these too!
ReplyDeleteas soon as I saw this quilt on the cover of AP and Q I knew i had to make it too...soon!
the second border choice is my favorite.
can't wait to see what you decided, how will you quilt it?
